Empires & Allies Guide

Welcome to Empires & Allies

Empires & Allies was Zynga's war-strategy game on Facebook (2011–2013): build an island empire, gather resources, raise an army, navy and air force, and fight your way through the campaign. It's playable again thanks to the Raise the Empires preservation project (github.com/AcidCaos/raisetheempires), whose server we host for L.O.S players.

Getting in

  1. Get the L.O.S launcher from losfarms.xyz/launcher. It has Flash Player built in.
  2. Sign in with your L.O.S account and pick Empires & Allies in the games hub.
  3. Your empire is saved to your L.O.S account, so it's there every time you come back.

Your empire

  • Resources: coins, oil, wood and metals. Collect them from your buildings and use them to build and train.
  • Building: open the market to place houses, factories and decorations. Houses raise your population, which you need to train more units.
  • Military: barracks, shipyards and airfields train land, sea and air units.

Battles

  • Campaign: sail to the enemy islands and take them back one battle at a time.
  • Survival Mode: fight wave after wave; every 5th wave gives a reward.
  • Neighbours: every other L.O.S player shows up as your neighbour. Visit them, help them, or invade them.

What's different from the original

  • Facebook features are gone: sending gifts and alliances don't work, and the leaderboards say "Coming Soon".
  • Some units and buildings never had their pictures recovered, so they're hidden from the shop.
  • A few screens whose art was lost close by themselves instead of freezing the game.
